What is CarBot
CarBot is an AI-powered communications platform for car dealerships. It answers every inbound call and text with AI agents, humans, or both working together — booking appointments, answering inventory questions, and handing off to dealership staff — so no lead goes unanswered, day or night.
One inbox
Every channel. One conversation.
Calls, texts, photos, and email land in a single thread per customer — so nobody asks “who talked to them last?”
SMS & MMS
Trade-in photos land right in the thread, attached to the customer, not a phone.

Your leads, handled your way.
Every flow runs in one of three modes — and you pick, per lead source, per hour. AI never talks to a customer you didn’t ask it to.
Switch modes per flow, per hour, per lead source. The AI never pretends to be a person, and your people never dial cold.
A note from us
You wanted every lead answered. We built the teammate who does it.
Most stores don’t lose deals to the dealership across town. They lose them in the first five minutes — the internet lead that sat until morning, the 8:40 PM call that went to voicemail, the trade-in photo texted to a salesperson’s personal phone and never seen again.
We spent years in BDCs watching good teams drown in that gap. The fix was never “work harder.” Your people are already working the lot, the lane, and the phones at once.
So we built CarBot to sit in the gap. It picks up in seconds, every time, and does the unglamorous part — answering, booking, logging — then hands your team a conversation that’s already warm. It never pretends to be a person, and it knows when a human should take over.
If your CRM feels like a place leads go to be forgotten, that’s the thing we set out to end.
— The CarBot founders
Speed-to-lead
The first five minutes, handled in the first ten seconds.
A new lead gets a text at 0:00 and a human-first call at 0:45 — CarBot dials your agent, whispers the context, then connects the customer. Nobody hears a cold ring.
Live conversations
See the call while it’s happening.
The caller’s name resolves before you pick up. Transcripts stream live while the agent talks, and a manager can whisper or barge without the customer ever knowing.
Pipeline
A pipeline that runs itself.
Leads move through stages as conversations happen — appointments book themselves against your real calendar, and the morning digest tells you what happened overnight.
QA reviews
Coach the team without listening to every call.
Every call is graded — greeting, discovery, appointment ask — with sentiment and a scorecard per agent. Managers override any grade; the AI learns from it.
The AI, plainly
An AI that actually knows your dealership.
Knows your inventory
Synced from HomeNet. It quotes the trim on your lot, not a guess.
Knows the customer
Service history, past purchases, open threads — before the first ring ends.
Drafts in your voice
Replies sound like your store. Your team approves or edits before send.
Grades every call
Consistent QA on 100% of calls. Managers can override any grade.
Books real appointments
Against your actual calendar, hours, and service-lane capacity.
And it’s honest: CarBot introduces itself as an AI on every call, hands off to humans when it should, and never pretends otherwise. Trust is the product.
Plays well with your stack
Texting runs on A2P 10DLC-registered numbers — carrier-compliant from day one, so your messages actually deliver and your numbers don’t get flagged.
“First Monday after we turned it on, there were eleven appointments on the board from the weekend — leads that used to sit in voicemail until my BDC clocked in. My team stopped chasing and started selling.”
Consent-aware messaging
Opt-outs honored everywhere, instantly, across every channel.
Recording disclosure
Call-recording disclosure handled per your state’s requirements.
Per-dealer isolation
Your customers and conversations are yours. No cross-store data.
An honest AI
CarBot identifies itself on every call. No pretending to be a person.
FAQ
Frequently asked questions
Does the AI tell customers it's an AI?
Yes — by design. CarBot's voice and text agents introduce themselves as the dealership's AI assistant on every conversation and never claim to be human. Honest identification is built into the product, and dealerships cannot configure the AI to misrepresent itself.
What happens when a customer texts STOP?
The opt-out is honored automatically and instantly. CarBot creates a suppression record that blocks further texts to that customer from the dealership across every channel of the platform, and the opt-out event is logged so the dealership can document compliance.
Can staff take over from the AI?
Yes, at any moment. Every conversation lives in a shared inbox where staff can jump in, and AI handling can be switched on or off globally, per department, or per individual conversation. The AI also hands calls to a human when the customer asks for one.
Does CarBot work after hours?
Yes — that's the core of it. CarBot answers calls and texts 24/7, including nights, weekends, and holidays, booking test drives and service appointments against the dealership's real calendar so leads that used to sit in voicemail are handled before the team clocks in.
Is dealership texting TCPA compliant with CarBot?
CarBot ships the tools a compliance program needs — automatic STOP/HELP handling, quiet-hours controls, frequency caps, consent and opt-out logging, and A2P 10DLC-registered numbers. The dealership remains responsible for its own compliance program; CarBot's tools support it rather than replace it.
